The Zannte is a makeshift machine created by the RFF (Refurbishing Funded Federation) which is funded by EFF. Before it got rebuilt, it was a captured Zaku 3 during First Neo Zeon War and after that it was used for developing strategies. It is the last machine of the RFF project after 11 machines were approved, until the Jegan takes over the industry and the EFF stopped funding the organization.
